When it comes to growing marijuana plants, lights are an important part of the process. Marijuana plants need different light cycles depending on their growth stage, and more light with better wattage is needed for bigger gardens.
When it comes to marijuana plants, you can keep light on a seedling for 24 hours. But when the plant is in the vegetative state, it should be 18 hours on, 6 hours off. Later, during the flowering stage, a marijuana plant should be at a perfect 12 hours on, 12 hours off cycle.
Generally, if a marijuana plant isn’t getting the right light cycle, it will start going into a different stage of development (starts flowering too soon, for example). That’s why the market is flooded with digital timers than turn off whatever is plugged into its outlet at a desired time, and many indoor gardens are placed in dark areas where outside light can’t interrupt: grow boxes, mylar lined closets, et al.
