Lowryder and Lowryder 2 are some of the most popular plants/strains to grow at home, for the marijuana cultivator who is looking for a very small plant, quick growth, and a great flower at the end. The main benefits that come from the Lowryder strain are also the plants name sake, the Lowryder strain is known for being able to reach maturity without ever growing very tall. Many medical marijuana cultivators have been able to grown full harvests of Lowryder within cabinets or the space under a sink. Many of the pictures below show off some great looking, but very small, Lowryder plants and grow operations.
For the Lowryder strain it is best to allow a large area for the roots, to get the maximize yeild.
Average full grown Lowryder or Lowryder 2 plant size is roughly 16 inches, this is of course dependant on the size of rooting area that you provide (the pot or bucket the plant will grow from) the larger the area, the bigger the plant cant grow.
Lowryder and Lowryder 2 strain both can reach full flowering stage in as little as 9 weeks, although it is suggested to allow 11-12 weeks for the plant to reach maxium maturity.
The Lowryder strains are some of the easiest to grow and are highly recomended for the first time marijuana cultivator, many of the widely available Lowryder strains of cross strains do not even require a change in lighting to prompt flowering, the Lowryder strain is “auto flowering”. Once the Lowryder plants reach full maturity the plant will begin to flower, with or without assistance.
Yield reports have been anywhere between 7 grams and 1 ounce per plant, that makes Lowryder one of the lower yielding medical marijuana plants, but that is because the Lowryder strains do not go through the vegative stage and therefor have a much shorter time between seed and harvest, many growers reporting harvesting in as little as 10 weeks.
